Tools and plans matter. So does the judgment of the people using them.
Our Deliberate Intelligence approach starts with the evidence: distinguish facts from assumptions, seek missing perspectives, consider unintended consequences, and verify before committing to a course of action.
Use realistic scenarios to test communication, authority, and backup plans—not simply whether a document exists.
Turn findings or facilitated conversations into practical actions, agreed responsibilities, and a clear next step.
Specialized family service
Practical, nonlegal preparation and coordination for college-bound students and their families—organized before the send-off, not during the emergency.

True Meridian Advisory was founded by Michael Bollentin, whose background spans more than three decades in emergency medical services, law enforcement, emergency communications, instruction, and high-consequence operations.
The point is not to tell capable leaders what to think. It is to restore orientation, strengthen judgment, and help teams make decisions they can explain, defend, and live with afterward.
“A true meridian is a fixed reference point. It does not tell you where to go. Orientation means knowing where you stand, understanding what surrounds you, and choosing your direction deliberately. That is where our work begins.”
Client testimonial
Laura reflects on Michael’s support after the loss of her husband.
“Michael helped me work through those questions without making me feel rushed or overwhelmed. He took the time to explain my options, helped me understand how the different pieces could work together, and guided me through the process one decision at a time.”
